Fair Advances to Finals of GEICO Play of the Year

GEICO Play of the Year Finalist

CHICAGO – C.J. Fair’s monster dunk against Pittsburgh on Jan. 16, 2012 has advanced to the finals of the GEICO Play of the Year. The winner will be announced March 25 at 1:00 p.m. on CBS.
 
Fair will be one of eight finalists vying for the best play in college basketball this season. Each week for eight weeks, four incredible college basketball plays are nominated as the Play of the Year on the GEICO Best of College Basketball Facebook page, facebook.com/BestofCollegeBasketball. Your vote helped push Fair past his group of plays and into the finals!
 
In Syracuse’s 71-63 win over Big East rival Pitt, Fair brought the crowd to its feet with a huge one-handed slam plus the harm. Scoop Jardine went up for a shot, but changed his mind in mid-air and passed off to Fair at the top of the key. Fair blew by his defender and dunked in the face of a Pitt defender.
