Nike/Inside Lacrosse Preseason Poll | USILA Preseason Poll

BALTIMORE – The Syracuse men’s lacrosse team is ranked in the top 10 of both major national preseason polls, released Monday, Jan. 30.
 
The Orange checked in at No. 7 in the Nike/Inside Lacrosse preseason media rankings and eighth in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Preseason Coaches’ Poll. Defending national champion Virginia is No. 1 in both sets of rankings.
 
Syracuse earned 333 points in the media poll and 191 points in the coaches’ poll.
   
The Orange begins the 2012 campaign on Sunday, Feb. 5 with its first preseason scrimmage versus Hofstra and Le Moyne. The Orange opens the regular season at home against Albany on Feb. 19.
